Professional Experience

Senior Product Manager, Smart Building @ STRATIS a RealPage Inc. company
October 2022 - May 2024

Launched the company’s flagship web platform—STRATIS Smart Building Portal—and established product, engineering, and go-to-market best practices.

  • Oversaw the vision and launch of the flagship web platform, enabling apartment managers across 1,300+ buildings to control smart home devices (locks, thermostats, lights, leak detectors) and view data insights.
  • Introduced new practices (bug bashes and critical test suites) to move the new platform from an untested project that lacked MVP planning, to a refined, tested, and released application in <10 months after 3 years of uncoordinated and undocumented development.
  • Assumed interim engineering management responsibilities shortly after joining, continuing through the duration of my role; conducted 1:1s, coached, and supported the career growth of ~6 software engineers.
  • Partnered with leadership to introduce and implement Product best practices across the organization: mapping user journeys, facilitating product discovery workshops, drafting PRDs, planning roadmaps, and overseeing beta programs.
  • Worked with engineering to introduce agile best practices including: feature breakdown, estimations, retrospectives and stakeholder demos
  • Defined release management strategy including setting up protocols for testing (critical suite testing, regression testing), versioning (configuration management), and communication (release notes, monitoring).
  • Led department-wide agile transformation by introducing Sprints, resulting in achieving 90%+ on-time delivery of commitments across teams.
  • Hired key leadership to scale and stabilize testing and delivery processes across the organization.
  • Restructured development teams, building product-centric full stack teams, reducing blockers by 80%+.
  • Increased release frequency by ~600% through continuous planning integrated with 2-week sprints.
  • Championed a user-centered technical culture, introducing domain-driven design (DDD) principles across development teams.
  • Partnered with embedded engineers to integrate various IoT devices (sensors, locks, thermostats, leak detectors) into a single unified interface to provide end user insights and controls like: configurable alerts, thresholds, and automation features powered by real-time data-insights.
  • Coauthored plans to build new continuous feedback loops via client feedback sessions and a flexibly structured beta program where no customer channels previously existed.
  • Led beta customer onboarding for a new platform, building initial client relationships and discovery pipelines, onboarding 100+ beta users.
  • Recognized for improving developer morale and team cohesion through consistent process leadership, clear goal-setting, and cross-team transparency.

  • Fun fact: I started and managed the STRATIS book club!
Product Manager, Fleet Core Platform @ Rivian Automotive
October 2021 - July 2022

Led software development for Rivian’s Fleet Core Platform, delivering tools at the intersection of telematics, firmware, and cloud services to streamline operations for commercial fleet managers.

  • Partnered with embedded systems, data, and API teams to launch intelligent features like general insights and analytics, predictive maintenance scheduling and real-time vehicle alerts.
  • Built platform tools that enabled 10+ development teams to build and manage reports and notifications.
  • Led feature validation and platform readiness for Rivian’s Fleet beta, enabling the transition from internal testing to live fleet operations across 7 U.S. cities.
  • Ensured alignment with Rivian’s broader platform ecosystem—coordinating with 40+ product managers to maintain brand consistency and enable scalable platform-wide delivery.

  • Fun fact: I took a Rivian on a telemetry testing road trip down highway 1, manually triggering alerts, locks, and safety systems to validate real-world vehicle behavior, for the fun of it.
Product Manager, Framework & Data @ OnShift
March 2021 - October 2021

Led software development for Rivian’s Fleet core platform, delivering tools at the intersection of telematics, firmware, and cloud services to streamline operations for commercial fleet managers.

  • Spearheaded the company’s first PRD and roadmap sign-off process, improving delivery accuracy by 50%.
  • Brought first iteration of centralized performance tracking and insights generation by integrating Google Analytics.
  • Improved user role flexibility and future-proofed system architecture by overseeing the RBAC-to-ABAC (access control) migration.
  • Directed initial discovery and early implementation of a dimensional star schema database with the goal of aligning multiple products, ensuring business reporting requirements were translated into technical design.
  • Organized and led a committee of stakeholders to determine a schema terminology (which I then used for defining fact tables in the data warehouse)

  • Fun fact: Formally presented the "Finland Doesn't Exist" conspiracy theory to the company to inspire cross-functional engagement with my development team. (Our dev teams were named after consipiracy theories. My teams were "Lochness" and "Finland".)
Product Owner, Core + Unified Platform & Analytics @ MRI Software, LLC
September 2014 - October 2021

Owned the platforms supporting a wide portfolio of complex applications, delivering foundational infrastructure in addition to specialized business intelligence tooling to commercial and residential property managers managing leases and assets.

  • Continuously managed 70+ unique MRI Core applications: a mix of new build & legacy, desktop & web, and technical & non-technical tools, platform (internal) tooling & end-user products.
  • Oversaw the core platform for the primary MRI Software Accounting and Property Management backbone, supporting both residential and commercial clients.
  • Thrived in the platform world managing a wide array of technical tools to customize a client's instance including: installer (for clients who self-host), authorization (ABAC) and authentication tooling, internationalization support, custom web page builder, custom report creation tool, database management tool, proprietary querying tool, an ODBC driver and more.
  • Launched and supported critical data authorization management tools compliant with industry audit protocols like Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) compliance.
  • Beyond MRI Core platform, I managed the unified platform (a.k.a. MRI Agora). My vision was for it to be a scalable solution to unify a wide portfolio of applications (a breadth of complex enterprise products acquired over time). I oversaw the foundational architecture and development, eventually integrating specialized business intelligence tooling to commercial and residential property managers managing leases and assets.
  • Migrated our embedded identity provider (IdP) to an industry standard identity management solution (IAM) for authentication.
  • Independently set up and managed the company’s first beta testing program—built around a complex, feature-rich SQL querying tool I led from 0 to 1.
  • Acted as executive liaison for 30 top clients, establishing new feedback loops that aligned product priorities with client pain points and strategic growth opportunities.
  • Led sessions at annual conferences: education sessions, focus groups; ranging from 8-155 attendees.
  • Built cross-functional expertise by progressing through support, sales, client success, and product ownership roles over a 7-year tenure, gaining end-to-end visibility into customer needs, operational challenges, and product strategy

  • Fun fact: I launched an internal product within my first 3 months at MRI… as a side project while I worked on the support team!
